Legal Advocacy and Education

R3RS knows that addiction recovery can often come with many legal hurdles that can threaten to hold you back. At R3RS we are fortunate enough to be blessed by a lawyer who chooses to donate some of their time each week for in-person general consultation at no cost.

This service is often in high demand and there are limited hours available. If you are interested, make sure to schedule a meeting at your intake.

R3RS collaborates with the Pardon Project of Lancaster County, helping residents obtain Governor’s Pardons to clear criminal records, easing barriers to housing, schooling, and employment. A pardon takes approximately two- and one-half years from application to hearing. Presently, Governor Shapiro has been granting more than 90% of the Pardons that make it to the hearing stage.

R3 Recovery House is recognized by Lancaster County and surrounding courts as a credible alternative to jail for residents facing drug, impaired driving, and certain felony and misdemeanor charges. Our responsible policies and positive reputation with law enforcement have led to numerous successful outcomes for residents, demonstrating our effectiveness in reintegrating individuals into society.

Occupational Support

At R3RS, we understand that your recovery journey likely includes finding a job and getting your career back on track. Our comprehensive Occupational Education services are designed to empower individuals like you with the tools and guidance needed to start that process.

We understand that finding a job can be difficult for someone with a criminal record. Our case managers will help you to navigate through hurdles to pursue a job with fits your skill sets.

A strong credit history is crucial for securing housing, employment, and other essential aspects of life. We are committed to helping you repair and rebuild your credit. Spiritual

Often, the seeds of addiction take root during people’s early teens, disrupting their developing faith journey. We believe faith is a crucial aspect to not only to your recovery journey, but to life itself, and encourage clients to pursue their own faith journey alongside recovery.

R3RS provides spiritual mentorship who will meet with you to help you reconnect, find, or answer questions concerning faith and your spiritual walk.

Our mentor will meet with you to discuss your faith journey, provide mentorship, and help you understand what connecting with God looks like in recovery and in your life today.

R3 has several Bible studies that you are welcome to attend if you’re interested. They take place on our properties and are usually held at different times on a weekly basis.

Educational Goals

An essential element in the journey to recovery involves completing your education or kickstarting advanced studies. R3RS connects you with local resources, ranging from trade schools and community colleges to universities.

Addiction often interrupts your education education journey, often as early as high school. However, getting your GED opens doors with furthering your education. R3RS case managers can help guide you through the process.

College education opens the doors for a wide range of careers. Whether you’re interested in higher education at a community college, or if you’d like to pursue education at a university, R3RS can help you with the process.

Having a trade is cool again! Lancaster PA is home to one of the best trade schools in the country: Thaddeus Stevens. We partner with them, along with CareerLink, to help people in recovery find their passion in trades. Talk to our case managers on how this works.
